This job involved altering and extending a 19th century timber framed cottage to help make the living space suitable for modern life. Structural steel was needed to support the first floor allowing us to open up the existing small rooms below and create one large living/entertaining space. Materials sympathetic to the age of the property help to soften the new build sections.
